Back Country Tour
2 Hour - Our two hour back country tour focuses on the backcountry of the reservation, though if you are looking for more, several of these locations are visited on our longer 3+ hour tours listed under our Cultural Tour
Are you looking for the final frontier experience? The Back Country is going to take you into our "backyard." The Navajo reservation open guided jeep tours can only be accessed with a tour guide. It allows you to step into the wild, see the Big Chief rock formations, stand next to the Sleeping Dragon, be guests in our homes, and see how we still do our traditional rug weaving. This escape into the wild includes the following locations: Echo Cave Ruins, Sun's Eye, Big Hogan, Moccasin Arch, and Ear of the Wind.
Our open-air vehicle tours are all about humor and engagement. With hands-on activities, stories, and a lively Diné tour guide leading your experience, we strive to make our guests comfort and enjoyment our top priority.

Please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather, bringing hats, sunscreen, etc. in the summer and boots, coats, and gloves in the winter. Please bring water to keep hydrated and any snacks you want or need to keep happy and healthy.
This ticket includes one seat on the tour vehicle.
This ticket does not include the $8 entrance fee for the Navajo Tribal Park.
Check-in will be on-site with your tour leader.
Our tour group sizes are 2-12. The tour group may include multiple smaller groups of travelers until the size limit is met. For example, if you book as a couple (2 people), you may share your experience with up to 10 other people.
If you are sick we reserve the right to cancel your tour for the health and safety of our other tour participants.
